July 24, 2025

CHICAGO — July 24, 2025 — One of the world’s largest music festivals, Lollapalooza, returns to Grant Park next weekend from Thursday, July 31 through Sunday, August 3, bringing four days of high-energy performances, massive crowds, and major street closures to the heart of downtown Chicago.

The 2025 lineup features over 170 artists across eight stages, including headliners Tyler, the Creator, Olivia Rodrigo, RÜFÜS DU SOL, TWICE, A$AP Rocky, Martin Garrix, and Sabrina Carpenter. The festival will also showcase a wide range of genres, from pop and hip-hop to EDM, K-pop, and alternative rock.

Gates open daily at 11 a.m., with entrances located at Michigan Avenue & Ida B. Wells Drive and Monroe Street & Columbus Drive. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early and plan ahead, as large crowds and long security lines are expected.

In addition to the music, the festival offers Kidzapalooza for families, interactive art installations, sustainability initiatives like reusable cup stations, and dozens of Chicago’s top food vendors catering to all dietary preferences.

Major street closures are already in effect, with Jackson Drive and Balbo Drive shut down through early August to accommodate the large-scale event. The city urges drivers and cyclists to take alternate routes and expect delays near Grant Park.

Lollapalooza is expected to draw over 100,000 attendees per day, with music fans from across the globe descending on Chicago for the event. Festivalgoers are encouraged to stay hydrated, download the official Lollapalooza app for real-time updates, and follow safety guidelines during the weekend.
