This event holds special significance for the city’s vibrant Mexican community, as it marks the first time in over a decade that this iconic celebration is being held in downtown Chicago.
El Grito Chicago honors Mexican history, culture, and cuisine, showcasing performances by national and local artists, including Mariachi bands and ballet folklórico at the Petrillo Bandshell. Attendees can enjoy authentic Mexican food, drinks, and merchandise, along with special family-friendly activities organized in collaboration with local organizations.
