Chicago, IL — The Windy City Comedy Fest will return to Chicago from August 6–9, 2026, bringing more than 50 comedians to venues across the city for four days of stand-up performances, showcases, and events celebrating Chicago’s thriving comedy community.

The second annual festival will feature performances at several of Chicago’s well-known comedy destinations, including The Den Theatre, The Lincoln Lodge, The Annoyance Theatre, Second City, iO Theater, Laugh Factory, Lincoln Hall, Newport Theater, and Reggie’s. The lineup will showcase a mix of local comedians and performers from across the country.

Organizers created the festival to highlight Chicago’s long-standing reputation as a major hub for comedy while providing a platform for comedians to perform, connect with industry professionals, and participate in festival programming.

Known for producing some of the country’s most influential comedy talent, Chicago has played a major role in the development of modern stand-up and improvisational comedy. The Windy City Comedy Fest aims to continue that tradition by bringing together performers, comedy fans, and industry members throughout the city.
