The holiday season comes to life the night after Christkindlmarket opens and the city’s iconic Christmas tree lights up, as the Magnificent Mile hosts its annual holiday parade. Starting at 5:30 PM, watch Michigan Avenue transform into a sparkling wonderland with more than 200 illuminated trees, festive floats, towering helium balloons, marching bands, and appearances by celebrities.
As tradition holds, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse will serve as the Grand Marshals, adding a touch of Disney magic. Arrive early—festivities kick off at 11 AM with activities along Michigan Avenue and photo opportunities with Santa himself!

What is it? The Grant Park Music Festival is a free, 10-week outdoor classical music series held every summer in Chicago’s Millennium Park, primarily at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion. Running from June 11 to August 16, 2025 , the festival features performances by the acclaimed Grant Park Orchestra and Chorus , along with world-renowned guest artists and conductors.
