Lakeview Taco Fest

September 4, 2024

The Southport Corridor, known for its eclectic mix of stores, boutiques, and restaurants, is one of Chicago's hottest commercial spots. This September, it heats up even more with the return of the annual Taco Fest, now in its 11th year.

This event celebrates the beloved taco, offering everything from traditional chicken, steak, and chorizo to creative fillings like mushrooms, seafood, goat, and duck. More than 10 local eateries will compete to create the best taco in town.

In addition to delicious food, the fest features seasonal beer pairings, two music stages, Mexican wrestling, and activities for kids. Visitors can even vote by text for Chicago's "Best Taco."

A $10 suggested donation benefits the Friends of Lakeview.
