This holiday season, the Brookfield Zoo dazzles visitors with its annual celebration, now in its 43rd year. More than two million lights blanket the trees, fences, and structures throughout the zoo, creating a magical winter wonderland. Highlights include a 300-foot tunnel of synchronized lights and music, towering illuminated animal sculptures, and a stunning 41-foot-tall holiday tree.
Guests can indulge in seasonal treats like funnel cakes, pizza, spiced wine, and hot cocoa to stay warm. New additions this year include two themed lighting displays and a festive holiday market offering custom ornaments and handcrafted gifts.

What is it? The Grant Park Music Festival is a free, 10-week outdoor classical music series held every summer in Chicago’s Millennium Park, primarily at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion. Running from June 11 to August 16, 2025 , the festival features performances by the acclaimed Grant Park Orchestra and Chorus , along with world-renowned guest artists and conductors. With concerts happening most Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, the season includes standout pieces like Carmina Burana, Rhapsody in Blue, Boléro, and performances by violinist Joshua Bell .
