420 Frankenstein is bringing a cannabis-infused take on Mary Shelley’s classic story to Chicago this fall. The comedy show puts a new spin on Frankenstein, combining live theater, improvisation and cannabis for a different experience each night.

The show features four professional actors performing the story while one performer consumes at least 20mg of cannabis before the performance. The unpredictable nature of the experience gives each show its own twists and moments.

Performances take place every Saturday from October 3 through October 31, 2026, at the de Maat Theatre at The Second City in Chicago.

420 Frankenstein comes from the creators of 420 Shakespeare, continuing the group’s cannabis-focused approach to classic theater with a Chicago run this fall.
